Michael Ashby, a recent 5x Platinum and Grammy Award Nominee, has been blazing a trail through the industry for over a decade now. As Recording Engineer of the critically acclaimed “Bodak Yellow” by Cardi B, with hits for Offset, Fetty Wap, Zoey Dollar, Latoya Jackson, to name a few, he appears to be just getting started.

 

A graduate of New York’s SAE Institute and inspired by Jaycen Joshua and Craig Bauer, Grammy Award Winning Engineers, Ashby is now pushing into new territory. Forging a sound that can be either classic or cutting edge, he's using the latest advancements in recording technology at Krematorium Studios in NY, which he also founded. 

 

The industry is taking notice, too. With overwhelmingly positive feedback from his clients nationwide, Ashby is racking up award nominations at the highest tiers of his craft. Along with recognition and nomination from the Audio Society, Ashby has been nominated for Recording Engineer of the Year by the prestigious Pensado's Place Academy, founded by the “Grandfather of Engineers”, Dave Pensado.
